Taylor Swift, full Taylor Alison Swift. American singer/songwriter who has achieved great popularity with her stories she tells of her young heartbreak. Swift developed an interest for musical instruments as a young person and swiftly progressed from participating in children's shows to making her debut in front of an audience. In 2011, Swift, then 11, sang The Star-Spangled Banner during a Philadelphia 76ers' basketball game. Following that, Swift began writing her own music. Swift, who took her ideas from Shania's music and that of The Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks within the realm of music from the country genre, created the original songs she wrote to express the feeling of being alienated. Swift relocated from Pennsylvania together with her parents, and moved to Tennessee, Hendersonville. she turned 13 to devote more time to reaching out to the country music labels.
