Lauren Ash Morgan is Founding Co-Artistic Director of the new theatre company Speech of Fire and served as the Artistic Director of Seoul Shakespeare Company (SSC) from 2014 until 2019. She had been a member of the board and an actor participant for SSC since the year 2011. As the artistic director of SSC she served as SSC's music supervisor, composer and Text teacher. However, she mostly directed from within the acting ensemble in the final year of her tenure, she began her career as a director (and lighting designer) with the company's King Lear. Her roles include a variety of other shows in addition to acting. She is the daughter of the scientist Richard F. Post and his wife poet Marylee Post was raised in Walnut Creek and Stanford alongside her two siblings. Las Lomas High School was where she enrolled and played soccer. Post briefly attended Pomona College and graduated from Lewis & Clark College in Oregon. On a personal note Post was formerly married to Stephen Knox. Michael A. Ross is her husband since 1982.
